This summer she has once again made all of us smile, sitting by the gardens embracing the prawn spirit with her pink umbrella, she painted the most beautiful picture inspired by Devon artist Kate Andrews.
For anyone who has yet to meet Daisy, she’s a magical little girl who suffers from Chronic Intestine Pseudo-Obstruction (CIPs). This means she cannot eat anything at all orally, and is fully reliant on being fed intravenously directly via her heart.
She spends most of her time attached to her feeding machine, up to18 hours a day in fact, which doesn’t leave a lot of time to do much else, including fun and games at the beach.
Daisy’s needs have required a number of adaptations to her family home as well as well as a wet room to make it easier to shower her, a medical storage room for all her equipment and medicines, a sterile medical preparation room… not to mention all the art equipment now that she’s on the path to becoming a famous artist.
Daisy’s parents set up the Daisy Palmer Trust with the aim of making her life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so if you have a moment do head over and have a look around.
In the meantime, enjoy a little artwork on Daisy!
